Thanks so much for posting these tutorials. They are extremely helpful in breaking things down. I did have one question, & while it may be obvious to some, I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around it. How does the black from the cardstock the stencil was cut on disappear? Does this have to do with the shutter speed or something else? The background ended up looking transparent, even though it is clearly not from the process pics.

Thanks again!

You said 'your awesome' which would be the possessive one. 'you're awesome' would the the proper choice of words.

Thanks, sir.
That's what i needed to know: where the hell you place the stencil and the camera.
I will leave this awesome technique all for you, my camera isn't by far as good as is needed for this...

Nice, but what if you used a second strobe to illuminate the place? (Like, you did it in total darkness and used a second bounced strobe to provide the final light before closing the shutter.

Awesome man, actually working on this this weekend. Found a rather large aluminum Planter's peanuts tin I am going to try to use to avoid all of this foiling. It also has a nice lip so it can hold outlines between it and the lid, which would be cut to be a o ring pretty much.

Also, a remote can easily be made, although it wouldn't be wireless.
